Hostile Ground

When was Hostile Ground formed? Who made up the original members? How did you come up with the team name?Hostile Ground

The team was made back in 03 with a bunch of open players from The Adventure Zone. It was myself, Andy King,  Tom Logan, and Colin Longren. The name actually came from a Co-Workers band. They had a song titled “Hostile Ground” and we thought that would make a pretty cool team name. We all played every weekend together and finally after a few years decided to make a team.
How has Hostile Ground changed as a team over the years?
We have gotten better.
What issues in the past has the team had to over come?

Players on the team starting shit with other teams/Players. That gave us and myself a bad rep for a while.
What are some major accomplishments of the team?

We were finally able to play a National event. After years of playing local events we thought it would be fun to play PSP Chicago. It was well worth it! We didn’t make it to Sunday but we grew closer as a team.
Are there any plans to play national events again in the future?

I hope so. I think we are going to try to play NPPL Chicago next year and will probably play PSP Chicago as well.
Hostile GroundWhat tournament series does Hostile Ground currently play? What division does the team compete in?

We currently and will always support the Air Assault series. Not alot of people realize how spoiled the local scene is thanks to Air Assault. We compete in D4.

What is the average age of the players on the team?

Recently we picked up a bunch of new players. We wanted to help more local kids get better at the sport along with expanding our reach. We have players between the ages of 14 and 26.
