Jamison Chopp

When did you start playing paintball?Jamison Chopp

03ish

What division do you currently play?

Wherever I find a spot,  D1 or D2 usually

What teams have you played for, and who do you currently represent?

Air Assault Factory, played for TPA Revolution, GSE, Northside/Magnum.

What kind of gun do you shoot, and why?

An 07 ego, no wait,  THE 07 ego.

What is your greatest memory from playing?

Mostly stuff off the field with old AAF guys and random Vietnam woodsball/SPPL events.

What is your ultimate goal in the sport?

I have no interest in playing pro anymore unless thats the level I’m capable of playing at without having to drive 16 hours every weekend.  I haven’t had the motivation to do so for 2 years.  Just playing at as high a level as can compete for the sake of playing.

You’ve played with Brent Kotchman for quite awhile, please tell us a funny story about him.

Brent told me stories about when he lived in the “Trailer of Love” with Seth, but those are not for the faint of heart nor straight.  Ask him about it.

Are there any funny stories about you?

Plenty…..Mostly off the field, some good hunting stories in woodsbawl over the years.

What events have you won?

Won Boston 2006 and Tampa 2007, took 3rd in Boston 2007 and 2nd NEO in Xball.  Countless locals from when I was eligible to play them.

Which style do you enjoy playing more, 7-man or X-ball?

7 man from 3 years ago…the U needs to go.

Do you think that coaching in the PSP adds to the dynamic of the game or takes away some of the skill?

Takes away from it, X ball is a terrible format, its becoming everything they worked to avoid….it will be gone in a couple years.

Are there any players or teams in MN Regional area that you think we should all watch out for?

There are plenty with the skills to do it, not sure about the drive and motivation.

Finally what MN Paintball player (Past or Present) would you like to see featured next?

Seth Osbursen.
